It's been nearly a week since our Grand Opening on December 8th. Thanks to all who came to welcome us to the neighborhood!
We've already got some great programs in place. Starting in January we'll be offering Story Times, Computer Classes, eBook Drop-Ins, and some great Adult programs are coming up, all free, of course!

We're getting closer and closer to our Grand Opening on December 8th! Our books were delivered last week and we've got them sorted and shelved, ready for our Newcastle patrons!

Work continues on the storefront, electricity, plumbing, painting, and landscaping. This week the ceiling grid, cabinets, and carpets were all installed.

With just a little over two months until opening (61 days), construction is really kicking into high gear. This week, work will continue on the storefront, the electrical, the plumbing, and painting. Initial carpet installation and IT work is also scheduled to begin.

The Newcastle Library is scheduled to open to the public on Saturday,
December 8th! This week at the library work continued on the storefront
installation, installing drywall, tiling, putting in the electrical
rough in as well as site work, site concrete and site lighting. Next
week the storefront will continue to be installed as well as tiling and
putting in the electrical rough in, pouring site concrete and site
work. Painting will begin as well as landscaping.

Join Ms. Tiger from the King County Library System at the Coal Creek Family YMCA on Monday, October 29th as well as all Mondays in November at 12:00pm for a free 20-30 minute special all ages story time filled with rhymes, stories and songs! The Opening Day for Newcastle Library will be Saturday, December 8th at 9:30am.
We are excited to move in to our new library and begin serving the community! We will have a wonderful new book collection, magazines and newspapers, Story Times, computers & printers, a meeting room, programs for children, teens and adults, and so much more.
